Do you have a grandparent, parent, aunt, uncle who has Medicare? Are you or your spouse close to the age of 65 years of age? It can be very difficult and confusing to understand the Medicare system. Most of us know that a person will be eligible for Medicare benefits when we turn 65 years of age, but what does that really mean? There is Medicare Part A, B, C, and D. Can some- one receive Medicare benefits before the age of 65? Does Medicare Part A benefits only pay for the hospital stay? What does Medicare open enrollment mean? The public can view Medicare benefits at www.cms.gov; however, can they understand it?
Kathy Parrish, RN, the health ministry nurse at Green Acres Baptist Church, Athens, will answer these questions and other questions pertaining to Medicare on Wednesday, October 26th from 12-1 p.m. Come and join us.
